This GF Piping Systems PVC hand lever butterfly valve with ratchet settings has valve components made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for chemical resistance to many mineral acids, bases and salt solutions, and has an operating temperature range of 32 – 176 degrees F (0 – 80 degrees C). It has a double eccentric valve for longer wear and additional protection against pressure surges, and three separate seals for leakage protection. The hand lever is lockable to guard against unwanted changes in flow, and opens and closes the valve in five degree increments for accurate flow control. This PVC hand lever butterfly valve is suitable for water system applications including building services, industrial waste water, and water treatment, among others.
Butterfly valves are used to regulate flow between pipes, tubes, and hoses by rotating a lens-shaped disc in the center of the valve and are suited for high-capacity, low-pressure applications.
